You may have heard about our awesome new Black Belt Club. To summarize, our Black Belt Club is a free program where dedicated students get free stuff. Or extra stuff. Also a cool uniform (cool uniform not required). St. Matthews Martial Arts has always been proud of being pretty awesome (we work really hard to be as awesome as we can). A part of that awesomeness is giving extra stuff to our dedicated members, because we couldn’t be as awesome as we are without the awesome students that we have.
Make sure to apply to the Black Belt Club soon. For your Black Belt Club application, you must answer one of these two questions:
- Why do you want to be a black belt?
- What do you think being a black belt means?
We’ve gotten some great answers already. There isn’t one right answer. There are many and we are excited to read yours. Feel free to ask your parents or your instructors for help.
But about that Black Belt Club Kick Off . . . .

1:00 until 2:00
The hour long kick off event is free for all Black Belt Club Members. We will not give out any Black Belt Club Uniforms or patches until the Black Belt Club Kick Off. We will have other fun games (a special Black Belt Club Obstacle Course and Dodge Ball). All Black Belt Club Members will break a board as well! Family are welcome to hang out as well. We are excited to celebrate our new Black Belt Club with you!
